A free-standing sculpture that can be repositioned in many ways.

I always thought it would be fun to search for fossils. Well, one came to me in this piece of alabaster. As I was direct carving, without realizing it was a fossil, I kept trying to even out the curve to keep the flowing shape. As I rinsed the stone I was amazed to see the fossil cavity.  Sadly, nothing remained of the original creature. I can only imagine millions of years ago what small creature dug its tunnels in the mud.

Black Granite / Rotating Base

This piece was inspired by a wilted flower on my window sill. I'm always looking at nature for inspiration. As I was sanding, I saw the image of an albino horse's head, thus the name.  I love to see other images in pieces like this.

This stone piece is what started my love for stone carving.

For a birthday celebration, my husband gifted me this alabaster, a hammer, and some chisels. I just started chipping away with no idea what I was doing or wanted to make. And to boot, this was my first sold piece!  Oh for joy, I was addicted.

Alabaster is a fun, colorful, and easy stone to carve. Again, having no vision, I started smoothing out this chunk of rock you see below.
